Donye Latrice DuncanĀ is an inspiration in her community, and it appears she was predestined to serve and uplift those around her.
Duncan set her sights on achieving what many seemed to think impossible. Impossible is not a word she embraces, so she made it her goal to become a firefighter. In 2015, Duncan became the first African-American Female Firefighter in the City of Chester.
Eight years later, Duncan is still dedicated to serving the Chester community and now serves as the first female to be voted into the Executive Board for IAFF Local 1400, serving as Union Secretary.
Duncan is also the mother of three children, an entrepreneur, as well as a health and fitness inspiration to many. She leads by example.
