Emerging Creative Company, Crashboys International, hosting The Crashboys Games: Bikelife Olympics In Chester

Reading Time: 2 minutes

CHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA—CRASHBOYS INTERNATIONAL was founded in 2005 in Chester, PA, as an all-dirt-bike-and- car-club with the sole mission of pushing the limits of human expression using anything that has a wheel. Their fuel is youthful and progressive, and they have grown into a network of designers, musicians, and athletes that all connect to their motto, “Fall Down, Get Up.”

Today, Crashboys has transformed into a creative studio and lifestyle brand. Their founder, Jonnie Slow, says, “We never create for the sake of creation; we create with purpose. We like to develop and execute meaningful ideas that drive impact and value. We put our energy behind bold projects that inspire us, as much as we aim to inspire others.”

On Saturday, July 15, 2023, in Chester, PA, the group will host its second annual Crashboys Games— a first-of-its-kind street bike sporting event. The competition will spotlight the meteoric rise of the wheelie movement and give top athletes from around the world an opportunity to compete for cash prizes, sponsorship, and bragging rights. A panel of influential judges will score tricks across eight (8) different competitions in order to crown the top athletes. With structured programming and competition categories, Crashboys International furthers its mission to define the landscape of this rapidly growing urban extreme sport and mobilize a diverse global community of young people for good.

Earlier this summer, on June 10, they hosted a massive ride out in New York City where some 2,000 bikes showed up; and in the Spring they held a wildly successful event at Yale University! In 2019 they partnered with Roc Nation and PUMA for a ride out in Los Angeles, and on another occasion, even gifted a specially made bike to Spike Lee for the 30th anniversary of his film Do The Right Thing. They also recently collaborated with Ewing Athletics, using the silhouette of the Sport Lite— the first cross-training sneaker available from Ewing—on a Crashboys orange, black and white colorway that went public on Friday, May 12, 2023. The shoe is available in-store and at https://shop.ewingathletics.com/, crashboysinternational.com

In previous years, the brand has collaborated on content with brands such as Stance, Guayaki, Throne Cycles, and Ben & Jerry’s, and they have received cosigns from big-name stars such as Cam’ron, Danny Garcia, Kyrie Irving, TI, Wayne Ellington, and Spike Lee, among others.

This year, they collaborated with Stance on the best trick contest, where two west coast winners were chosen to fly out to Chester, PA, for a chance to compete in the second annual Crashboys Games. They are also releasing a special edition Crashboys bike in partnership with Throne Cycles to commemorate the event. Bicycles will be gifted to winners in each discipline throughout the contest.

On Sunday, August 6, Crashboys International will host The Best of Both Worlds, All- American High School Basketball Game in Chester, PA. The game will feature several five-star athletes, such as Rob Wright, Jalil Bethea, and Derick Queen, alongside other top talent. There will be a ride out during the day, with the All-American game taking place that night.
