Congratulations to the Philadelphia Film Society! The Rocky Movie Marathon celebrates RockyFEST 2024 with a marathon showing of Sylvester Stallone’s blockbuster franchise this past weekend. The Philadelphia Visitor Center partnered with the Philadelphia Film Society to activate the Film Society Center with pop-up events, selfie spots, and Rocky-themed activities throughout the marathon weekend.
The first-ever RockyFest was a city-wide celebration of Philly’s most iconic underdog. The event kicked off December 3, and the newly declared city holiday of Rocky Day commemorated the release of the original film 48 years ago in 1976. From bus tours to movie marathons, there’s something for everyone. Alright, Rocky!!! Well, that’s the Philly Beat!!
