Known to the Christian Hip Hop community as Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Emanuel Lee Lambert Jr. has brought in the new year with a new name and self-titled album— Emanuel. The self-titled project is an in-depth journey through Emanuel’s career as a trained percussionist.
Emanuel, released on January 27, 2023, on Mixed Bag Entertainment and has quickly garnered respect on the music charts.
The album Emanuel focuses on the intersection between the two worlds of Emanuel (his birth name) and Immanuel (the Hebrew name given to Jesus Christ). With dynamic collaborations with Tamela Mann, Fred Hammond, Aaron Cole, Todd Dulaney, Dante Bowe, Maranda Curtis, Yolanda Adams, and others, this album is a beautiful reminder to listeners that God is with us through every situation.
As the new project takes root, Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s stage name has been officially retired. He will now perform under his given name, Emanuel Lambert. “Being older and wiser makes me feel more stripped down and vulnerable. Da’ T.R.U.T.H. is strong, and he knows it. Emanuel is more like one of the guys. I have been thinking for the past four years that this is something I wanted to do, and this was a perfect time,” shares Emanuel.
