CTL Staffing Agency offers employment solutions

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Have you noticed the Now Hiring signs lately? Employers have been on a constant search for qualified employees. The pandemic changed the employment narrative and has shifted the tables. All the chatter is about unemployment compensation keeping everyone from seeking a job. I have had conversations with many employers facing the same trials, scrabbling looking for employees, often leaving them short-handed in so many areas. For this reason, Sadina Davis developed CTL Staffing Agency.

I had the opportunity to Produce and Direct the CTL Staffing Agency’s upcoming Employment Commercial that will be circulated on social media. It was a pleasure to work with Sadina Davis and the host of actors; Juan Turner, Victoria Nelson, William Nelson, Linda Brown, Tynia Claiborne, Gwen and videographer, Mark Nesbitt.

For more than 15 years, Career Specialist Sadina Davis has placed 1000’s of job seekers with employers such as Ashley Stewart, Axion, Rite Aid, Memorable Moments Daycare, City of Philadelphia, Project Home, and Lidl Grocery Stores, to name a few. “I don’t consider recruitment a job for me, it is my calling, and I find it a blessing to serve the community,” said Sadina Davis.

Shelly Shell: What type of employment solutions do you provide?

Sadina Davis: CTL Staffing Agency offers unique services. Our Agency has been providing staffing assistance for over 15 years. We assist clients from all walks of life with full and part-time Staffing and Job training services. We prepare our clients with job readiness services for Career positions. Our goal is to help reduce unemployment in communities and assist in securing longevity employment with growth opportunity potential.

Our Agency encourages training programs to enhance skill-sets for better-paying jobs and careers that will help them retire within the company. We also assist clients that want to seek Entrepreneurship for future endeavors. We have a heart for our clients and employers and provide services accordingly to enhance opportunities for our job seekers and employers.

We provide employment services in the Beauty Industry, Retail, Medical, Cleaning, and Hospitality (Bartenders, Servers, and Cooks). Our Agency also provides job readiness training, mock interviews, interview attire, resume writing, transportation vouchers, a Career Coach, and Social Service referrals. We also host Job Fairs and provide Community Outreach from our Partner programs and promotions for the Employers that we service.

Shelly Shell: What are the benefits of working with a staffing agency?

Sadina Davis: Working with staffing companies allows you to select direct agencies that exclusively focus on certain streamlines of employment fields, skilled recruiters, and employers in that industry. You receive assistance scheduling interviews, background checks, and polishing resumes for clients to present Employers.

Shelly Shell: What type of training do you provide for potential employees?

Sadina Davis: Before a job seeker connects with Employers, we provide:

• General Customer service etiquette.

• General safety.

• Health training.

• Specific training provided by employers tailored to their company’s workplace equipment or hazards materials and uniform provisions.

Also, our partner referral program with other Organizations helps assist with GED prep and classes, Retail and Hospitality training, and more.

Shelly Shell: What is the staffing process?

Sadina Davis: CTL Staffing Agency works with job seekers from all walks of life. A client would first call our office, speak with an intake specialist to go over their resume, and answer basic life skill questions to see if they are job-ready, etc. We team them up with a professional recruiter for job placement or partner programs to assist with future goals for better career opportunities.

Shelly Shell: What are some career tips for employment seekers?

Sadina Davis: The CTL Career specialists advise job seekers to concentrate on the following directives:

• Strategize and research the potential company. Discover if the employer has a high turn-over rate/bad or good reviews. Do they offer benefits such as health benefits, 401k, stock opportunities, education incentives, or bonus incentives?

• Find a career that doesn’t feel like a job but will make room for your gifts and dreams, where you can grow from within.

• Update and customize your resume and cover letter for the position for which you are applying.

• Practice with someone by doing a mock interview

• Dress professionally, wear soft perfumes or colognes, no loud colors, tight or revealing attire, resume in hand, phone on vibrate during the interview

• It is essential to be on time for interviews (being 15 minutes early is on time)

• Interview with confidence and a smile. My personal preference is to Pray before you go in to speak with the employers

Shelly Shell: What are recruiters looking for in a resume?

Sadina Davis: Consistency in employment in that field and years employed at that same company, education, training certification, and experience in the job you are applying for, transportation, termination from past employers, and what you learned from other companies.

Shelly Shell: How can job seekers contact you?

Sadina Davis: Job seekers may visit our website at www.ctlstaffing.com, by calling (215) 868-2121 or via email s.davis@ctlstaffing.com

The CTL Agency’s motto is changing your mindset, staying positive through the challenges, and the most important part for us is prayer and faith!
