PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Tuesday, October 26, City Commissioner Omar Sabir and community leaders held a nonpartisan GOTV Drive and Rally to bring attention to the final day to request a mail-in ballot in Pennsylvania and to ensure voters know that Drop Boxes have been placed throughout the city for collection of ballots. Commissioner Sabir and city officials explicitely reminded voters that October 26th was the final day to request a mail in ballot and that once you received your ballot, you had multiple ways to submit the ballot. The GOTV Drive and Rally was held at Shepard Recreation Center at 5700 Haverford Avewhere a newly installed Ballot Drop Box is located. Commission Sabir and representative from the city, state, Black Clergy and the NAACP all reiterated the importance of voting in next Tuesday’s election and protocols that have been put in place to ensure that all voters can safely cast their ballots.
