Here’s the deal.
We have a General Election coming up on Tuesday, November 8th.
If this were a game show and you could win a million dollars if you get all the questions answered correctly about this upcoming election, I wonder would most of us make it through the test?
If you consider yourself grown and a smart thinking person who understands the importance of your civic duties and things like voting, could you answer the following questions:
What time do the voting polls open?
How late are the polls open until?
What offices are up for grabs?
Why is there a special election during the general election for Philadelphia voters?
Do you know where to go vote in the area where you live?
In my head, by now, we should all know the answers to the above questions. My concern is that we don’t.
So, let’s go over the list of offices up for grabs for voters in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia, more specifically.
The Pennsylvania Governors’ seat is up for grabs. For the last almost 8-years now, Tom Wolfe, a Democrat, has been the Governor. Usually, after the keystone state has had a governor of one particular party for 8-years, when that person’s administration is done, the next Governor coming in usually is from the oppositive political party.
Some political watch dog groups are saying, this time, things might turn out differently in Pennsylvania because the Republican candidate for Governor has some skeletons in his closet that appear to be leaning on the racist side. It makes the democratic candidate for Governor come out smelling like a rose.
But I digress.
