Reading Time: < 1 minute

Chester Writer’s House is a nonprofit community organization with the goal of training community members in writing skills they will require to move through life. The Chester Writer’s House was founded by Thompson on January 20, 2016, at the J. Lewis Crozier Library in Chester, Pennsylvania.

On Saturday, April 2nd, the Chester Writer’s House held a Writing and Painting event at Widener University’s Old Main Writing Center. The event was hosted by the Chester Writer’s House and Chester resident and Widener student Ciana Bowers. The theme of the workshop was “Memories,” in support of a mural project in Chester spearheaded by Ijjae Hill. The project aims to gather the voices of many Chester residents for its design.
