Chester Township was awarded $288,075 Local Share Account Funding for Police facilities and equipment upgrades in the Township.
The funding will be used to complete building upgrades to the police department to reduce workplace hazards, improve American Disabilities Act accessibility to the station and upgrade the IT system. The project includes upgrading the building parking lot, sidewalks, interior furnishings, evidence room, restroom, replacement of the leaking roof, and malfunctioning garage doors.
