On Wednesday, May 3rd, Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland and Deputy Mayor Councilman William Morgan stopped by the Boys and Girls Club of Chester to share some amazing news with the young people who attend the programs at the club. With excited children looking on, the City of Chester and Amachi Chester presented an $8,500 check to the Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Chester, Derrick Billups.
Amachi Chester, having sponsored the Tennis Program completed by the Boys and Girls Club of Chester, is a resource that provides mentorship for Chester youth. The organization is always seeking mentors to volunteer with the community’s children.
