PHILADELPHIA, April. 18, 2023 – State Rep. Morgan Cephas welcomed Lt. Gov. Austin Davis to a small business tour she hosted in her legislative district. The purpose of the walking tour was to visit local small businesses along the Haverford Avenue commercial corridor and share information about state-level efforts to strengthen businesses and to provide public safety.
Representative Cephas shared, “I look forward to this tour with Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis, as small business growth and workforce development are critical needs in our community,” Cephas said. “We will hear from entrepreneurs about their concerns and needs, but we also want to discuss ways to connect small and diverse businesses with opportunities within the Commonwealth.
The small business tour was held on April 18, 2023, and began at Representative Cephas’ office. Approximately eight local businesses participated in the tour, which concluded with a roundtable discussion at City Line Diner and Deli focused on public safety in neighborhoods and along commercial corridors. “It is compulsory to talk about gun violence reduction strategy along commercial corridors and in middle neighborhoods. We will be talking about our ongoing work in regard to this issue and legislation aimed at putting a halt to gun violence,” Cephas said. “We are determined to provide safety and peace of mind to residents of our community.”
