Renaissance man, singer, actor, and activist’s 124th birthday celebration will be commemorated by a virtual fundraiser that will help fund the “Arts in the Parlor” program hosted by the Paul Robeson House & Museum on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
PHILADELPHIA, PA, March 29, 2022— The West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance/Paul Robeson House & Museum is sponsoring this momentous occasion on Saturday, April 9 from 4-6 pm.
We invite the community to join us in celebrating the life of Paul Leroy Robeson, his music, and his message. This virtual gathering will highlight the many facets of Robeson’s life not only as a performer but also as a pioneer in the arts and entertainment industry. This year, for our annual fundraiser, the goal is to raise $7000 to support our Arts in the Parlor program, which will spotlight local artists within our community. The aim is to provide these artists – both known and unknown – a venue for these singers, dancers, musicians, painters, crafters, or collectors to hone their craft and showcase their creative talents.
