Can You See Us? Zambian film captivating viewers

Coming to theaters are some unexpected gems…Hear what’s happening in the entertainment business: On Tuesday, the Grammy winner, Beyonce, 42, posted a rare video on Instagram addressing her followers while she unboxed her new fragrance CÉ NOIR, which is available to pre-order for the U.S. and Canada ahead of shipment in November.
Also, Beyoncé will be bringing her Renaissance tour to cinemas on December 1. To heighten every fan’s excitement, the pop star revealed the poster for the upcoming concert film, titled “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” clad in a futuristic ensemble.
According to the concert film’s synopsis, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé highlights the tour’s journey “from its inception to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri.

Philly’s own Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary), Timothy V. Murphy (Appaloosa), and Bruce Greenwood (The Fall of the House of Usher) have boarded “The Fabulous Four,” a new comedy from Bleecker Street, which has entered production in Georgia under an Interim Agreement from SAG-AFTRA.
Written and directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, the Cannes prize-winner best known for her Kate Winslet pic “The Dressmaker,” follows three lifelong friends (Sarandon, Mullally, and Ralph) who travel to Key West, Florida to be bridesmaids in a surprise wedding of their college girlfriend Marilyn (Midler). Once there, sisterhoods are rekindled, the past rises up again in all its glory, and there are enough sparks, drinks, and romance to change all their lives in ways they never expected.
               
In select theaters on December 15, expanding on Dec. 22, “American Fiction” is Cord Jefferson’s hilarious directorial debut, which confronts our culture’s obsession with reducing people to outrageous stereotypes. Jeffrey Wright stars as Monk, a frustrated novelist who is fed up with the establishment profiting from “Black” entertainment that relies on tired and offensive tropes. To prove his point, Monk uses a pen name to write an outlandish “Black” book of his own, a book that propels him to the heart of hypocrisy and the madness he claims to disdain.
Written for the Screen and Directed by Cord Jefferson. Based upon the novel ‘Erasure’ by Percival Everett. Cast: Jeffrey Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, John Ortiz, Erika Alexander, Leslie Uggams, Adam Brody, with Issa Rae and Sterling K. Brown.
