Camp Jamison Celebrates GivingTuesday, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement

PHILADELPHIA, PA, November 17, 2021 – This #GivingTuesday, Camp Jamison will inspire generosity by Doubling Camp to Double the Impact.
#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. #GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 30, 2021, and throughout the year.
For 11 years, Camp Jamison has been answering the question – “How do we allow children to break the cycle of violence and achieve success?” Open to any child who wishes to attend, Camp Jamison serves all children regardless of race, religion, socio-economics, or other protected identifiers. We provide enriching experiences in a safe and healthy, nature-based environment. Focused on environmental education, physical outdoor activities, and social and emotional growth, we promote anti-drug, anti-crime, and anti-violence behaviors as part of our peacebuilder curriculum to a two-week experience.
Camp Jamison Camp Jamison is aiming to raise $12,000 this #GivingTuesday as part of our overall 2022 fundraising goal of $215,000. In the past, Camp Jamison has enjoyed great community support on #GivingTuesday, helping to fund scholarships for a camper who otherwise would not be about to afford such an experience. We are Doubling Camp to Double the Impact this year as we expand from 1 to 2 camp sessions for the summer of 2022
#GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
People demonstrate generosity in many ways on #GivingTuesday raising billions of dollars for critical causes around the world and receiving billions of impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved in their communities.
