PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Thursday, September 5, 2024, YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School (YB Philly) — the largest YouthBuild program in the United States and one of Pennsylvania’s FIRST charter schools—held its Annual Acceptance March. Over 400 young adults marched together, symbolizing their commitment to reclaiming their education.
The march began at YB Philly’s new, state-of-the-art school building, located at 2309 North Broad St., and ended in front of The School District of Philadelphia’s office at 440 North Broad St., Philadelphia.
Prior to the march, applicants undergo three days of intensive “Student Mental Toughness Training,” participating in workshops that introduce YouthBuild’s unique climate, culture, and program. These workshops emphasize the development of essential professional and life skills crucial for success.
The Acceptance March marks the final step in the YouthBuild application process, officially welcoming applicants as students.
