- PHILADELPHIA, PA— Allegheny West Foundation, (AWF), Teamsters Local 502, Commonwealth Association of Schools, (CASA), PA State Senator Sharif Street, and a local business on North 22nd Street, Kaptivating Kidz TDA, have teamed up to distribute free Lysol Disinfectant products, today, Thursday, December 1st,, from 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon. The giveawaywill take place outside, in front of the Panati Recreation Center, at 3101 N 22nd Street, (22nd and Clearfield). The products are ready to use, all-in-one bactericide, tuberculocide and deodorizer.
- Ronald E. Hinton, Jr., President of AWF says that they’ve partnered with Dr. Robin Cooper, President of CASA and Kaptivating Kidz TDA a number of times now, with Lysol product giveaways. He says residents and organization leaders from the area appreciate the opportunity to get these products free of charge. Hinton commented, “The flu season is upon us, we still haveCovid variants to beware of, and all kinds of germs that disinfectant products like Lysol can address. We are pleased to stand with Dr. Robin Cooper and our State Senator Sharif Street to make these products available for households in our service area.”
- Dr. Robin Cooper is President of Teamsters Local 502 and the owner of a business on N. 22nd Street, Kaptivating Kids, TDA, stated, “You know the saying, Teamwork makes for dreamwork. That’s really true. I am happy to be supportive of our community. In the tines we’re living in right now, everyone wants to have disinfectant products that are good products, in their home, or for their organization.”
- Several times a year, CASA gets major donations from large corporations, be that truckloads of non-perishable food items, hand-sanitizer, or like this week, Lysol Disinfectant products.
- “The reality is that there’s still a lot of families in Philadelphia who are recovering from the Pandemic, financially, mentally and in other ways. Some might think it’s no big deal to get a case load of Lysol Disinfectant spray, or a few bottles of it, but for others it’s the difference between having clean countertops and other surfaces in your home wiped down properly,” said Dr. Don Anticoli, Secretary Treasurer of Teamsters Local 502.
- Kaptivating Kidz Talent Development is a Child Care Center, the brainchild of Dr. Robin Cooper, located at 2934 N. 22nd Street. The instructors work with youth, ages 6 weeks to 12 yearsold. They offer a pre-K and after school program. The focus is on reading, math, music, public speaking and drama.
- The other partner in this giveaway effort for today, is PA State Senator Sharif Street. Despite the passing of his Uncle Milton T. Street earlier this week, a retired PA State Senator, Senator Sharif Street’s staff will still be on hand today for the event.
- The Lysol disinfectant products will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
