A Proclamation to celebrate 125 years of service

Reading Time: 2 minutes

BURLINGTON, NJ—On Friday, May 5th, Burlington County business owners, state and township dignitaries, and Masonic Village representatives attended a Gala on behalf of the Masonic Village at Burlington’s 125 years of service to the community.
Masonic Village received the Proclamation from the State of New Jersey Governor Murphy’s office, presented by New Jersey’s 7th District Assemblywoman Carol Murphy. Additional comments were made by Burlington Township Mayor Elrich L. “Pete” Green; the Honorable Mayor Barry W. Conaway of Burlington City, NJ; Executive Director of Masonic Village, Anda Durso; the Board President of the Grand Lodge Masons, Brian Mandel; and the Grand Master and Chairman of the Board of the Grand Lodge of Masons, David Tucker.
The Masonic Village has a deep history of helping the neighboring communities; and has been named one of the “Best Nursing Homes and Best Short-term Rehab” by U.S. News & World Report for 2019-20 and 2020-21, the Best in Assisted Living by senioradvisor.com, the Best for 2022 of the Trentonian Readers’ Choice Award and the Best of 2022 by Burlington County Times.
“The White House issued a Proclamation declaring that May 2023 is Older American’s Month, so it seems very serendipitous that Masonic’s Anniversary Gala kicks off this very special month,” stated Anda Durso during the opening remarks. Durso continued, “Tonight we look back with pride on all that Masonic Village has accomplished over the past 125 years, and look ahead with anticipation at all we hope to achieve in the future…The people that live here, work here, and volunteer here all become part of the Masonic family. The unshakeable bond is what we are here celebrating tonight; caring people can truly change the world, and I see the truth in that statement every day at Masonic Village.”
Masonic Village at Burlington has been serving as a valuable healthcare resource since 1898. Surrounded by 450 acres of beautifully-maintained grounds, Masonic Village services include Independent and Assisted Living, Short- and Long-Term Care, Rehab, Memory and Respite Care, and Home Care. It also offers many recreational, social, and educational events on-site.
