Mia Lee has 26 years of experience as a Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant, a profession that suits her and one that she fully embraces. Lee formed an LLC, aptly called, “My Peace Home,” where she goes out into the community to provide much-needed services for the underserved, overlooked population for FREE. In addition, two days-a-week, Lee provides free home-cooked meals in different areas of Philadelphia. Preparing the meals in her kitchen, she prepares 60 meals each week for people in need, and is waiting on funding to increase the number of meals and service hours she provides.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, My Peace Home provides personal care upon request. All services are free of charge and subject to schedule availability.
Lee saw a demand for services for the elderly, disabled, and other individuals in need of services such as light housekeeping, companionship, in-home meal preparation, and transportation to and from doctor’s appointments. With an increasingly elderly population and the deep cuts to programs that serve those individuals most at risk, My Peace Home is uniquely positioned to take on some of the tasks that would otherwise fall slack.
