It was a meeting of the minds and spirits when Lawyer Taylor and Nathaniel Halman connected. Both men were on separate trajectories along the same path to entrepreneurship. Their businesses are two separate entities, and they have created a “Joint Venture” of sorts. They share jobs in order to provide support for each business. That’s where partnership, collaboration, and friendship come into play. The two men actually met in church and immediately knew they could work together. They just meshed.
Before I could begin my interview, I had to ask Mr. Taylor how he got his first name. “It’s a family name, passed down through generations. My great-great-great-grandfather was the first Lawyer Taylor and was a practicing attorney in Mobile, Alabama. That’s where the family explains that the name originated. I also have a son whom I named Lawyer.”
