President Biden’s newly unveiled budget reduces deficits by nearly $3 trillion over 10 years

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Over the last week or so, there has been a flurry of very important governmental budgets released.

There was the last budget address that Mayor Jim Kenney will ever deliver before Philadelphia City Council.

There was the first budget address of our new Governor, Josh Shapiro, delivered last Tuesday in Harrisburg.

Then there was the budget address delivered by President Joe Biden last week as well.

Let me just go straight to the White House and share some of what President Biden announced during his budget address. The way I see it, it’s a trickle-down theory. If the federal funding is spent correctly, it should impact, in a positive way, people across America, including right here in Philly.

President Biden has long believed that we need to grow the economy from the bottom up and middle out, not the top down. Over the past two years, in the face of significant challenges, that economic strategy has produced historic progress for the American people. Under the President’s leadership, the economy has added more than 12 million jobs—more jobs in two years than any president has created in a four-year term—including 800,000 manufacturing jobs.
