Ebony Excellence Sunday

Reading Time: < 1 minute

So often, we’re bombarded with negative images of Black America…Black Chester, but Faith Tabernacle’s Ebony excellence and achievements were on full display.

This celebration of rich Black culture and history has been celebrated in the month of March for well over (10) years. It’s a time in which they honor individuals and community leaders making an impactful difference and contribution to the City of Chester and beyond.

The celebration featured a violin medley by Philadelphia’s own Jack Drummond of the group Stroke and the message, Against All Odds.

This year’s recipients were selected based on their contributions to the betterment of Chester families and the greater community. Darrall and Danita Mosley received the Award for Excellence in Philanthropy, Youth Initiatives, and Community Job Revitalization. Dr. Lisa R. Dennis (center) received the Award for Excellence in Community Care, Compassion, and Advocacy.
