Youth Working Together Basketball Program (YWT) Anti-Violence Appreciation Awards Day

PHILADELPHIA, February 24, 2023—City Council President Darrell Clarke and Eddie Hurtt, Founder and Director of the Youth Working Together Basketball Program (YWT) hosted an awards celebration at City Hall in City Council Chambers.

Rev. Michael Robinson, a columnist for Scoop USA Media Newspaper, officiated the awards ceremony. The honorees were Mike Goings, Vice President of Social Responsibility & Fan Development of the 76ers; John Athanasiadis and John Kerentzis, owners of City View Pizza & Grill; and Aaron McKie, Men’s Basketball Head Coach, Temple University (not pictured in the above photo).

Each honoree received a written citation from City Council and a Community Appreciation plaque from Youth Working Together Basketball Program.

Darrell Clarke, Eddie Hurtt, World B Free (former NBA player and 76ers Ambassador), and former NBA player Marc Jackson ( 76ers) provided kind remarks about each awardee’s volunteer service and charitable donations to support non-profit organizations, young adult and adult initiatives, and youth sports programs in the city. YWT basketball, alumni members, and staff members from the Philadelphia 76ers also attended the event. Congratulations to all of the honorees!
