Spittle

Reading Time: 3 minutes

According to dictionary.com, the word spittle is defined as saliva, especially as ejected from the mouth. The Bible says, “When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.” (John 9:6)
I am not suggesting that you put someone’s spit on your physical eyes, but we need to do whatever we need to do so we can start seeing better mentally and spiritually.
We are dying! Our community is dying! What happened to respect for Allah (God) and His laws? We must be blind mentally and spiritually because if we knew better our families, our communities and our nation would have a godly view. We need some spittle!
Most of us have physical sight. But if we cannot see with our real eyes, then our families, our communities, and our nation will meet our doom, death, and destruction. The Bible says, “Besides this, you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.” (Romans 13:11)
The Bible says, “Let them alone; they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” (Matthew 15:14) It is very shocking to find out that you have been living a lie. Unfortunately, there are many people over the years that have refused to study and find out what is true for themselves. Some people literally rely on others to read the word of Allah (God) and then tell them what it says. Some people only read from certain books in the Bible but claim to live by the word of Allah (God). We need some spittle!
If what you are doing is not or has not improved you over the years, something is wrong. It is not the word of Allah (God). It is our lack of reading and applying His instructions. If you and I really see properly, why are we still suffering from basic impediments, like lying? If we are not physically killing someone, we kill their dreams. If we are not physically stealing something, we take advantage of the time Allah (God) has given us to testify of Him, so we rob others of their gifts and talents. We need some spittle! The Bible says, “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.” (Malachi 3:8)
The Bible says, “We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4) It is very difficult and almost impossible to work with or on behalf of someone you cannot see. Do we know Allah (God)? Do we have a personal relationship with Allah (God)? Last week’s article was entitled “Your Hands,” so what work are we doing for Allah (God) with our hands?
Let me back up. Do you know it is day? I am not talking about daylight, but like the Bible verse says, “We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day…” If you just think that it is talking about daylight, we need some spittle!
The Bible says, “The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:12) In the darkness is sin, and that sin robs a person of their light, which is the mark of Allah (God). We need to let our light shine and work for Allah (God) so that we will shine brighter.
Please ask Allah (God) to increase your sight so that your good deeds will be plentiful! Thank Allah (God) for the spittle! The Bible says, “ I once was blind, but now I see!” Let’s talk and act in the truth of Allah’s (God’s) word so that others will start seeing through our example! Thank Allah (God) for the truth!
