I am making my way back slowly but surely, and I am excited. It has been a long recovery since my spine surgery last November 3rd.
Recently, I came back to Philly at the request of my family and friends, who really missed me. They brought me a ticket and sent it to me so I could visit. During my time in Philly, I tried to see as many people as my seven days would allow, but that was impossible. My trip ended with a special gathering orchestrated by my good friend and colleague David Barnes of the New World View with David Barnes and Yanina Carter. Our show airs on the third Sunday of the month on WURD 96.1 FM from 8 to 10 p.m.
Thank you soooo much for getting my peeps together under one roof before I headed back to the ATL. Special thanks to my brother, Curtis Brown; Singer Valray of Valray Productions and Starlene Bey, of the Starlene Bey Experience; WURD, Afro Beat w/Patrick Adzadu; Sports writer, Napoleon Kingcade; Dave’s granddaughter Fatima Barnes; Photographers Ron Allen and Solomon; and Scoop Proprietor Sherri Darden. Thanks a bunch for a memorable and fun time!
