Saturday, June 18th, was a beautiful day with spectacular weather for the over 300 walkers, bikers, and runners who joined Local 413 for their Annual Colon/Prostate Cancer Run Walk and showed up bright-eyed and ready to meet the challenge. The soccer stadium provided the perfect backdrop for the event.
Following healthy snacks, warmups, and stretching exercises were led by Akeem Taylor of Alete Fitness, walkers, bikers, and runners got down to business.
It’s estimated that 28,400 men and 24,180 women will perish from Colorectal Cancer in the United States. Prostate Cancer claims the lives of 34,500 men in the United States annually. Both cancers rank second as the leading cause of cancer death for men and women combined. https://www.cancer.net
