The Calling

Reading Time: 2 minutes

What were you born to do? Come on, what were you born to do? Have you ever thought about why God (Allah) allowed you to be born? If God (Allah) does not make mistakes, then we all were born to achieve something! We must come into the knowledge of what God (Allah) wants us to do and work on perfecting our gifts and skills so that we will please Him.
The Bible says, “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29) According to dictionary.com the word irrevocable is defined as not able to be changed, reversed, or recovered; final. We want to not only respond to the calling from God (Allah), but to make sure that our every action is in accordance with His laws. When we start doing what God (Allah) wants us to do, we will start walking into success. The Bible says, “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.” (Proverbs 18:16)
The Bible says, “Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15) The word inexpressible is defined as a feeling too strong to be described or converted in words. This definitely gives some clarity to the many blessings that God (Allah) gives us on a daily basis and if we thanked Him 24/7, we could not thank God (Allah) properly.
We have discovered that sometimes words are insufficient in expressing our deep feelings for the supreme being. However, when you have a calling, a person just has to look at you and they can see your gift, but your gift is linked to God (Allah) himself. We can run, but we cannot hide. So, when it is time to show forth our gift, we must submit so that the calling will not have to be done by a rock.
Some people have certain gifts and skills that they just can do naturally without very little effort. Some people love helping people, some people love cooking, some people dancing, some people love speaking, some people love eating, some people love playing football, some people love singing, but whatever the gift, it came of God (Allah).
Are we using our gift to glorify God (Allah)? Are we using our gift to help others? Have we thanked God (Allah) for our gift(s)? The calling is a blessing and should be handled with the upmost respect by the individual. However, just because you or I have a gift, we should never think that we are the source of the gift. This came from God (Allah) and all praises are due to Him. The calling is really not about us, but our willingness to submit to Him and do what we were born to do. The Bible says, “For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.” ( 1 Peter 2:21)
Please remember, even in the calling there is order that is tied to God (Allah)! We need to follow Christ’s steps if we are truly Believers. That is the real call and that is the ultimate gift. Please ask God (Allah) for protection while answering the call from The Caller!
