Delaware County held a job fair on Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th, in the Community Room of Chester City Hall. This was the first of many planned job fairs that County government is holding in areas throughout Delaware County to fill positions left open due to retirement and a shortage of employees following the pandemic.
Fair Acres, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, George W. Hill Correctional Facility, Delaware County Courthouse, Delaware County Health Department, Central Purchasing, Park Police, Juvenile Justice Services, IT/ Information Technology, Bureau of Elections, Medical Examiner’s Office, Public Works, Human Services, and 911 Center are actively hiring workers.
Attendees had the opportunity to interview with recruiters, get a better understanding of available positions and skills required to fill those positions, have the team review their resumes, and determine their candidacy for open positions or be matched to a position more suitable for their skillset.
