Be an INFORMED Voter

Reading Time: < 1 minute

On May 17th, voters in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will have the opportunity to go to the polls and exercise their right to vote in the 2022 primary election. During these fractious and polarized times when most citizens identify themselves along gender, race, income and ideological lines, it is imperative voters go beyond the narrow confines of their party affiliations and become knowledgeable, well informed and aware of the issues of the day. The critical issues are those issues which impact your daily life, that will determine and dictate your opportunities, the opportunities for your children and grandchildren, taxes, services and quality of life.

Contrary to the legacy of the Quakers who founded the Commonwealth, Pennsylvania is not a progressive state. In fact when one examines the statistics and issues, you would have to conclude Pennsylvania is quite backward in several important areas.

Despite the noble efforts of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, who ran for office as an education candidate, the state still lags in funding and support for education which is vital for the future workforce and economic growth of the state.
