Curbside Business Services Vehicle Marks National Small Business Week with Commercial Corridor Crawl

Reading Time: 2 minutes

“Biz on Wheels” will visit different commercial corridors throughout next week; Panel Discussion with Wells Fargo Planned for Wednesday in Camden

PHILADELPHIA- National Small Business Week (May 2-5) begins next week, and The Enterprise Center’s new Curbside Business Services “Biz on Wheels” vehicle will mark the occasion with a “corridor crawl”, visiting a different regional commercial corridor each day to provide on-the-spot business consulting services to local small businesses.

“Our local commercial corridors represent the heartbeat of so many communities throughout our region,” said Iola Harper, Executive Vice President of The Enterprise Center. “During National Small Business Week, we want to reach as many of these small business owners as possible. Each day, we will visit a different commercial corridor to meet with small business owners and learn more about their needs. We will also have giveaways and other take home resources that will help them make the most of their business.”

The Curbside Business Services Vehicle will visit the following locations next week:

  • Monday, May 2 – 1510 Cecil B. Moore Ave, Philadelphia
  • Wednesday, May 4 – 1865 Harrison Ave, Camden, NJ 08105
    • NOTE: The vehicle will visit a planned Wells Fargo Small Business Panel Discussion at the The Salvation Army KROC Center. 10:30 a.m.
  • Thursday, May 5 – Lancaster Avenue @ 40th Street

The Curbside Business Services vehicle is a specially-outfitted sprinter van with onboard scanning and faxing tools, allowing business owners to leave their consultation with a complimentary flash drive, including all their critical documentation. Small business specialists are also available for scheduling one-on-one business consultations for bookkeeping, marketing, financing opportunities, and legal advice.

The vehicle is a partnership with Mt. Airy, USA, The African American Chamber of Commerce, Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, and Beech Companies.

The Curbside Business Services Vehicle is supported in part by funding from Spark Therapeutics, the Minority Business Development Agency, Comcast, and Wells Fargo.

The Enterprise Center continues to work with commercial corridor managers and local Chambers of Commerce to schedule more visits throughout the region. Curbside vehicle schedule information will be posted on The Enterprise Center’s Twitter and Instagram accounts. More information can be found at www.curbsidebizservices.com
