The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated on April 4, 1968. Most people can remember that day, where they were, and what they were doing when they learned this tragic news. I can still vividly remember the teacher imparting that news to the class and then quickly dismissing the class. My classmates all headed for the door, some with silent tears streaming down their faces, others wailing, and still move heading for the door with looks of zombie-like shock plastered on their faces. I remember getting home to find my father in a state of sadness and anger.
