For all the deaths of people, I loved who transitioned in 2021. For all the senseless murders on streets across America from Philadelphia to Charlotte, to Atlanta, to Newark, to Dallas, to Chicago, and on and on. For the racial injustices. For the attack on voting rights. For everything that went down in 2021, beyond the passing of loved ones and friends, January 6, 2021, will be the most imprinted news story of the year that set my heart on fire and brought me to tears on my knees in prayer.
I don’t think anyone over the age of 13 who was paying attention can forget the day when what looked like a couple of thousand people, who we absolutely believe to be Donald Trump supporters, storm the nation’s capital building, acting like they were trying to overthrow the American government. What’s worse is that it strongly appears that President #45, Donald Trump was in cahoots with other Republican Lawmakers, Trump supporters, and top advisers to push for the dissident behavior that unfolded on January 6, 2021.
