As we wind down the year 2021, I can think of so many stories that I wanted to cover this year but didn’t get to. Then there are other news stories that constantly required updates, such as the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the violence pandemic. Politics is always ever-changing, so I try to stay on top of political developments, as well. Then there are our everyday heroes and sheroes from the community. You know, those who don’t get credit or props for the work they do, but who we like to shine the spotlight on in the SCOOP.
Truth be told, there is never a dull moment in Philadelphia or Pennsylvania. There are always news stories to be told. In a perfect world, and if I had my way, all my columns would be about good news and positive things happening in our world. However, our reality is much different, and I’d fall far short as a journalist if I wasn’t honest and shared not only good news but the hard news, that must be told as well.
