At The Walls of Girard College One More Time My SCOOP USA Family, Ladies, and Gentlemen, my brothers and sisters, I do believe I have a special treat for you today! For some, it may be a walk down memory lane, but for others, it may be a get out of here I didn’t know that. For it will be an awarding, truly amazing experience touching the essence of “Our Philadelphia experience coming forward from a very traumatic torn past.” A race-based hypocrisy, coming back home again.
Some things bring back the harsh realities of being Black in Philadelphia under the tyranny of a Rizzo regime. Even though it was a dark time for this city of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection, and there were many moments of “What the Hell is going on in Philadelphia,” nonetheless, we still walked through the Girard College Saga – walking around the Wall ‘till it fell! Not physically, but emotionally, mentally, and a whole lot of psychological regentrification or better still humane restoration.
