Once again, Councilman David Oh, as he had done for the last three years, supported the efforts of Mr. Sang Kyu Na. The owner of Penn Center Beauty Supply– a small business in Center City that continues to give back to underprivileged communities here in Philadelphia. Mr. Sang Kyu Na, also helped his office donate 26 laptops for students in need with personal donations.Â
This was the annual end-of-the-year event of the PA Korean Beauty Supply Association. As part of the event, the association awarded 5-scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to African American and Korean American high school and college youth. One of those youth is Elijah Khalil Davis, a 1st semester Junior at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. I was honored to accept the award on his behalf.Â
