Normally I would say to each his own. In other words, if you don’t have a problem with your child getting dressed up in a costume and going door to door in search of free candy, then go for it. That would be my normal response. However, because there’s been no announcement saying the Coronavirus Pandemic is over, I think wise parents and other caretakers of our children should think long and hard before you just allow your children to possibly be in harm’s way. On top of that, seeing how many murders we’ve had in our beloved city thus far this year and knowing that some many children have had their lives cut short by gun violence in our city should be enough to make parents want to keep their children at home.
