Everyone expects temperatures to rise during the summer months, and the summer of 2021 promises not to disappoint. There are those among us that can’t wait for the temperatures to reach a level where little clothing is necessary and on the other end of the spectrum there are those among who suffer through the heat, praying for the early onset of fall.
Chester is home to a large population of elderly citizens, many of them with major health issues. It was with this vulnerable population in mind that Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland, Chester City Council, and Keystone First VIP partnered in a successful initiative to provide fans to seniors.
Heat can create and exacerbate health issues, especially in our older citizens or those with underlying conditions. Please check on your family members and neighbors.
