The Truth Applied

We need to have more real conversations with people, especially the youth! Some people try to put sugar on poop and call it chocolate, but sugar will not turn it into candy. It is still poop. Even though hearing the truth, may make a person feel unpleasant, it is a necessary factor because in your mind is where killing begins.
What? Yes! Minister Farrakhan said something to the effect of, I am paraphrasing, ‘We were made to think right, and hearing lies kills our desire to recognize truth.’ When we talk to one another, what are you talking about? How do you feel after talking with someone? Is the conversation filled with positive topics? Do you talk about people? What do you get from talking about people that are not present? I am not talking about “seeking counsel” in regard to something happening between you and another person. I am talking about gossip and slander. This is death coming out of a person that gossips and slanders! Minister Farrakhan said, “Before someone can assassinate your person, they must assassinate your character.” Before the Million Man March held in 1995, Minister Farrakhan did a “Stop The Killing” tour to all the major cities in America. We need to use all our resources to address all the violence taking place in our communities, but first, start with you and your family.
We need to have more real conversations with people, especially the youth! Why do some youth join a street organization, become a part of a gang, a posse, or a club, which then helps form their value on life and what they need to do to join or prove their loyalty? What happened to the family and the parents being a safe haven for the children? What happened to the church and mosque being a safe haven for the children? What happened to sports and community centers being a safe haven for the children? What happened to the parent-teacher relationship? Why do some teachers want to have more influence on a student than their parents? Why is teaching and what is being taught in the headlines all over the county? Can you change history? Listen, we may need to improve on telling the truth, but you cannot change what already happened. However, how do children process all the division? Why is the government pushing equity? Is equity different from equality? How?
We need to have more real conversations with people, especially the youth! The youth are watching the behavior of the adults, and the behavior is saying more than what you may think. We are adding to an environment that is toxic and is becoming more toxic every day by our willingness to compromise the truth. We have to stop the lies and teach our children the truth, so there will not be in fantasy land because, for some children, lying will become a part of living.
They used to say, “If you lie, you will steal, and if you steal, you will murder.” But just because you have not taken physical life, how many people have you killed with your mouth? What we say adds or takes away from a situation. The Bible says, “It is life and death in the tongue,” so we need to be careful what we say. Learning to tell the truth is how we come out of this violent crisis. We, the people of God (Allah), should not just accept rebellion coming out as lies, from the media, from the government, from our leaders…etc. We need to hold them accountable when the truth comes out.
Think about how you feel when you find out someone lied to you? Please let us embrace the law of God (Allah) and stop disobeying Him! Our lives will improve when we embrace the truth, which is just like math, you can prove it. The real conversations come from real God-fearing people, not just the lip professors! Let your actions change our communities!
