The Christmas season is a time for reflection, rejoicing, and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Music often sets the tone for this special time, and few songs capture the spirit of the season quite like the classic hymn “Silent Night.” First composed in 1818 by Austrian musician Franz Xaver Gruber and lyricist Joseph Mohr, the song has been covered by countless artists over the years. This year, international recording artist Anthony Faulkner adds his smooth, soulful sound to the beloved classic.
“I’ve always steered away from doing covers for the sake of keeping my authenticity,” Faulkner shared. “However, ‘Silent Night’ is beloved by many, and the announcement of our Savior’s birth should be celebrated! Taking the risk of arranging the song to showcase my signature sound was truly a fun and exciting experience.”
Faulkner is set to perform the song on various platforms throughout December, including CBN’s Turning Point and Voices of America TV shows. In addition to being an established artist, he is a great philanthropist. He supports orphanages and community organizations worldwide and volunteers locally with initiatives like The Palmer House. Most recently, he contributed to their Thanksgiving giveaway, which provided meals for over 150 families in Houston, Texas.
As the world celebrates the birth of Christ this season, Faulkner continues to spread hope and inspiration through his music as he uplifts others.
