The DJ community mourns the loss of Anthony Johnson. DJ Young Scrap, one of the hottest DJs in Philly passed away on June 1, 2021. The beloved DJ Young Scrap is a Father, Son, Brother, and a well-known DJ. I had the opportunity to work with DJ Young Scrap as he filled in for DJ Dior Cartel at TGI Fridays on City Ave for Ladies Night. My Motivation Monday team and I will truly miss him and how he had #clubfridays moving. His service will be held on June 17, 2021. For more information go to his social media page @djyoungscrap. New TV Network Melanated Vision Programming

On this special Father’s Day edition of the Scoop, I’m excited to highlight Media Moguls Jermaine Quick and Charles Patterson, Sr. aka Sandman, who recently launched the Streaming TV Network, Melanated Vision Programming. Award-winning Indie filmmaker Jermaine Quick and legendary hip hop artist, one-fourth of the REUP Gang, Charles Patterson, Sr. aka “Sandman” have partnered to create Melanated Vision Programming which caters to the African American and diverse communities with content that inspires, empowers, and ignites creativity.

Melanated Media Broadcasting Network has a reach of 500 million views and is available for download on Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV. The Network offers a variety of programming from Indie Feature Films, Short Films, Documentaries, Comedy, Music Video, Fashion, and Busi- ness.

Jermaine Quick: The station has officially launched, and you can watch exciting uplifting and creative programming download Melanated Vision on Roku, Fire Stick, and Apple TV. We have also had MVP Gear for purchase on our website. We are preparing for our official launch party coming soon.

Shelly Shell: Describe some of the programming featured on Melanated Vision Programming?

Jermaine Quick: Deen over Dunya, the movie directed by Saiful-Haqq is one of the new movies featured on Melanated Vision Programming. Deen Over Dunya is The Most Powerful Movie in The last 50 Years. This Story takes place in the streets of Philadelphia, depicting the life of Imam Saiful-Haqq as he struggles with wanting to help clean up the streets without getting caught up in the streets. During this mental struggle, his wife gets shot in a crossfire by a Muslim Crime lord Sadaat Da Beast. Imam Saiful-Haqq Stands up for Justice with some of his loyal brothers.

The award-winning film Heartless directed by Jermaine Quick is now showing on the new streaming TV Network. Heartless is a film about mental illness seen through the eyes of a child.

Dorothy E. Brunson Juneteenth Celebration will honor MC Breeze

Buckle up yall on June 19th, we are going live for 6 hours!!! The purpose of the “I Never Quit” Virtual Event is to raise funds to create the Dorothy E. Brun- son wax figure to be placed in the Great Blacks in Wax Museum and fund our virtual youth media training programs. The 6 Hour Telethon will feature black history makers, legends, trailblazers, hip hop, gospel, business, and so much more. Join us June 19, 2021, 1 pm-7 pm for the Dorothy E. Brunson Foundation, “I Never Quit” Virtual Telethon!!

The Juneteenth Celebration will honor MC Breeze, Dyana Williams, DoctaShock, Jimmy da Saint, Kangol Kid from UTFO, Keith fromupdablock, Uno Girls, Baltimore Hip Hop Legends, Simply Monica, Purple Queen, Urban Xpressions Alum, Da Fat Cat Clique, and so many more. More to be announced.
