Chester Township Day, the brainchild of Councilwoman Risheena Payne, is an extravagant end-of- summer get-together for children and parents in preparation for the new school year. Payne has made this one of her trademark yearly events.
Equipping a student for the school year with the proper gear not only prepares them for becoming more engaged in the learning process–but gets them excited about learning and helps them make the transition from summer vacation to fall school semester. The transition from summer playgrounds to fall classrooms is a community and family affair that the residents of the Town- ship look forward to every year.
