Buyer’s Remorse, Part II

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Buyer’s remorse! How do you know if you are experiencing buyer’s remorse? What are some of the signs of someone regretting a decision they made? According to Webster’s dictionary, remorse is defined as a deep regret or guilt for a wrong committed.

When you make a decision for a wrong committed, most people have regrets, but for some people, the remorse may take a while until the consequence for making a decision is felt or uncovered. America is going through something, and different people in leadership, have made some decisions that have caused some people living here to experience buyer’s remorse.

President Biden has signed over 30 executive orders in his first week, compared to Trump’s one, Obama’s two, Bush’s zero, and Clinton’s one. Buyer’s remorse? Some of the orders will cost thousands of people their jobs. What happened to working with Congress? What happened to not banning fracking? So, after being dependent on others for 75 years to provide oil, we became independent, but now we go back to being dependent? So, when gas goes up, does the cost of food go up? What about products? What about our heating cost? Oh, I forgot about taxes going up! It is always the poor and middle class that suffer the most when people in the federal government make changes. Is this what you thought you were getting?

Some people in America are upset about the 2020 election and felt that the irregularities were handled unjustly, so they protested on January 6, 2021, but some went too far. Some people in America are upset about not only the killing of George Floyd, but other unarmed blacks killed by the police, so they protested last year, but some went too far. We need a check and balance system that works for all.

There should be equality in how any person is handled in court proceedings or by law enforcement. When elected officials were against the National Guard helping during the violent riots last year in various cities, that is a problem. Is that showing that you care about all the citizens in that community? However, when it is the elected officials feeling uncomfortable, using the National Guard is fine? What is the message you are sending to your constituents? Do they have buyer’s remorse?

Who has a trial without legal representation? No witnesses? These are the things that give people pause because if you would do that to one person that you do not like, you will do that to another that you do not like. This has a familiar aroma! What happened to civil rights? So, is that only for minorities? You do know there are poor whites! You do know that women had to fight for equal pay! Your morals and character should not be compromised when you are dealing with someone you do not like. If your morals are compromised in that way, you should not be in a leadership position.

The Bible says, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.” (2 Timothy 4:3)

We do not need someone to cheerlead our rebellion, but we need people that will remind us of what thus says the Lord. Please note, you will always regret rebellion against God (Allah) and sometimes it will cost you your life.

We need to respect life and respect each other! Recently, there were two situations that made national news which brought me to tears. One was the lady that got attacked in Harlem, New York by three men. They spat on her, abused her and one bit her, what is going on? No, woman, no person should not be subjected to this kind of savage behavior. The perpetrators of this assault should get at a minimum, a year for every stitch she had to get. The other situation the stabbing and subsequent murder of a was a 15-year-old girl. Even though the young perpetrators have expressed remorse, they have to be held accountable for their actions. A 15-year-old girl is dead! Is this what our ancestors sacrificed for? Some of us have become what we use to fight against!

“No Justice, No Peace,” is a popular chant that oftentimes, has fallen on deaf ears. On the back of The Final Call under What The Muslims Want, stated by The Honorable Elijah Muhammad number two says, “We want justice. Equal justice under the law. We want justice applied equally to all, regardless of creed or class or color.” Only God (Allah) can give justice! Stop looking at people that want to do things their way instead of God’s (Allah’s) way to give you justice. They are being unjust to what God (Allah) said! Submitting to God (Allah) is the only way we will not have buyer’s remorse!

Minister Farrakhan recently stated, “God is working!” We should work and strive daily to submit to Him and help each other as He said. Minister Farrakhan said, “To watch the weather!” So, I am watching the weather. The Bible says, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work.” (John 9:4) Please pray and ask God (Allah) to protect you while you do the good work!
