Lauryn Hill headlined the Roots Picnic Saturday evening and provided an Epic experience to all in attendance when she was joined on stage by the Fugees (Wyclef Jean, Pras Michel).
Sunday’s headline performance was also epic, with Usher sharing the stage with Philly’s own Jazmine Sullivan.
People are still talking about the 2023 Roots Picnic, the performances, and also the fact that this event represents the positive elements of the Philadelphia Black community.
All came out and had a good time with no news of problems during the weekend. This was a great start to the Summer and has definitely put a positive outlook on what’s to come at other summer events.
